When will webforms be available for pre-registered programs and events?

We are new Altru users, but haven't yet launched. In our training we just learned that web forms aren't available to use with pre-register events. Our institution would be using online sales for pre-register events, so this feature would be very important. Our trainer said that the feature is in development and may be released early next year. Can you tell me the status on this?
