We host member-exclusive events, and it would be really great if there was a way to only allow members to buy tickets/register to these events.

Currently, I am sending an appeal (invitation) with a link to the ticket page, so that only  members have access to the ticket page. I would prefer to have links right on our member webpage that simply does not let non-members buy tickets (perhaps directs them to the membership webform)

if member pre-registration becomes an option, a work around would be to set a specific date when non-members can start buying tickets. In the case that non-members cannot buy tickets, perhaps there could be an option to leave the non-member date blank.

    Yes! We are hosting our first members-only event and we sent to link to existing members as well as added the link to the membership acknowledgements.  It's great that we can limit discounts for members (as long as they registered and are signed in), but would be nice if this same principle can be applied to price types as we have GA and Member price types.
