Yesterday a registered patron logged in and completed a membership purchase that had been sitting in her shopping cart for 9.5 months. A discount code that was valid at the time (last July) had been applied. Since the discount code had already been applied to the order it went through. We can set limit on the number of days for anonymous carts to be kept, we also need to be able to limit the number of days to keep registered patrons carts.
We ran a promotion for half off and a customer was able to obtain the discount because it was in their cart several months later. The promotion had an expiration date and was inactive, but still worked :(
This is a terrible bug that should be addressed! Luckily we don't experience it because we don't currently use the online account feature but this is one more reason why we would have to really be convinced to start using it.
Once again we've had a membership purchased using an in-active discount code because the person was registered and left the item in their shopping cart. We need to be able to limit the nuimber of days items can sit in shopping carts for those who are registered, not just anonymous patroms!
We recently raised our membership rates, and have had at least 3 sales within the last month go through at the old rate because members had the renewal in their shopping cart. It's not as drastic of a loss as the $125 for $99, but all of the carts were well over a year old, with one being almost 3 years. Please add this feature!
This feature is needed now! We just had someone renew using a discount code that was last active 3 years ago because they are registered and still had the item in their shopping cart! Plus the membership price was also old. Bottom line, a sale that should have been $125 went through for $99.
