Right now, appeal mailing defaults to snail mail. 95% of my constituents get their newsletter via email. So for every member I sign up, I have to click through to change the newsletter to email. In addition, I have to add this to my maintenance queries and go in and fix every membership newsletter mailing option entered by someone else and they forgot to set this to email. I could globally change all member newsletter appeals to email, but then I would have to change those 5% who want it mailed back to mail.
