Especially in a constituent search, we have a very hard time determining who is the adult (, Sr.) and child (, Jr.) when all we see is a first and last name. It takes a lot of extra time to click through each record to see who is the Jr. I've just started tacking this on to the end of the last name, even though that's not the correct way.
I absolutely concur on this matter. It would be helpful but also vital when you happen to have many generations of people dedicated to your organization! I just had to fix a membership transaction where the son (Jr.) bought the membership online but the transaction and membership went to the father's record (Sr.). They both live at the same address still so absolutely all their information first name, last name, address was the same. And because we had had some previous confusion between the two people previously, the son's email address was on the dad's record, which is why it linked to that record. But guess what--we can't delete the email address because it is linked to a sales order... another frustrating problem I'd like Altru to fix. If we can't delete the wrong email addresses from records, then this kind of problem occurs.
We would really like this, too. We end up with people pulling in the wrong constituent to stuff all the time. We have many constituents who are Jr., Sr., III...
