This is still an ongoing issue for our donors. The "tribute" function in Altru is not adequate and I sincerely hope Blackbaud creates a more refined system for taking tribute gifts that more closely resembles traditional tribute in-take donor platforms. If Blackbaud is unable to fix this issue, my organization and others will be forced to look at alternative options.
Tributes definitely need specialized web forms, along with numerous other fixes, because it is very broken right now.
The Comment field that we are forced to use for Tribute info is too open-ended, and our donors get concerned because that data is not available for inclusion in the confirmation email they receive. They'll do a tribute online, type their info into the Comments field, then call us and make sure we got the info.
It makes no sense for there to be any Tribute implementation at all without a web form made to facilitate them. Why wouldn't people do this online? We do everything online nowadays. We shouldn't have to ask for this.
