When a constituent registers for an event online, the host is determined by the constituent that makes the payment. If you change the patron on the order, the host name does not update to the new host. The host name should update based on the patron associated with the order.

Please fix this; it's a bug in the system. It shouldn't have to be a request (that was first made in 2016!!)
We are approaching 8 years since this idea was posted, and it has been a problem for us every year.
Yes as stated in the comments, this would be SO helpful for summer camp registrations. Parents do not read and are putting their children as the person paying.
I have put a disclaime on our registration form telling the parents how to fill it out, but I still get a lot that don't do it correctly, using the child's name where the "host" name (or parent name) should be. Since I can't change this, I go into the account and put "Jane Doe is adult" in the comments. No reason I couldn't just edit the host.
Also, if they transfer to a different class, the host name doesn't transfer with them, so I have to manually do that, as well.
Surprised there are not more recent votes and comments for this. Especially important for our camp programs where we want the information for both the parent and the camper on the same roster.
However this can be fixed it needs to be fixed where it can be edited. I have over 300 duplicates that were created because of this and the fact that I cannot fix them is not good. We need clean systems for what we do, not being able to properly clean up the system in house with this issue is not ideal for a system as robust as this.
Please look into improving this! It would be helpful!
I now have over 4 dozen Summer Camp registrations where the parent either put the child as the registrar or the parent as the participant. I think it's CRAZY that a system like Altru can't figure out how to solve this very real problem. Please, Please fix this issue!!

We experience this frequently with parents registering children and accidentally entering themselves as the participant. The workaround to add a host retroactively is not ideal.
Register online that is. Sorry.
I would also like to see people be able to register as a company, then add registrants. Keeping the Company as the host.
