the email marketing tools in Altru are not robust enough for our organization. we would love to see Altru partner with Constant Contact on a product integration? this would be very, very useful for us.
This can't happen soon enough! Altru was promoted to us as a sure-fire replacement for CContact -- not so much a replacement as an "all this and more," meaning all that Constant Contact does plus the ability to create query-based target lists. Except here are some of the many eblast essentials Constant Contact provides that Altru doesn't:
TIER I IMPORTANCE: de-dupes (ensuring recipients receive only once); open-rate and click analytics; templates
TIER II: duplicate-and-edit-email option; image library w/image editing; ability to insert image by URL; unsubscribe management; social media buttons; other buttons
This is a partial list.
Rather than try to re-invent all this in Altru, what would be great is a way to draw on our Altru database from within Constant Contact, and/or export from Altru directly into CC, without having to query, export (to CSV, eg) and then upload into CC. And it would be a dream come true if Altru had capacity to update CC records, removing contacts from member lists, e.g., or updating their email addresses.
