ability to designate where to send a gift membership from the back office

It would be great to have the ability to mark where to send a gift membership when we enter one from the back office.  We are able to do his on our web forms, but it isn't possible from the back office.  This would be easier since it is part of an entry that would pull with acknowledgements, instead of having the staff try and keep track of every different gift membership situation and where to send it.

    This is such a vital membership function and I'm continually frustrated that it's not easily accessible to staff members. Having to go back into a membership record to change the preference is not user friendly, especially when we have a high volume of gift memberships coming in. It should be available in daily sales and advance sales, not just online. It's more important for us to know where to send the membership itself than where to send the renewal.

    That is a great idea that I have wished for from the beginning. Why doesn’t it ask this question in Advanced Sales?? We have a form that the guest fills out that has this question on it. I go back in and edit the membership, like it seems others do to. This can be difficult to follow the paper trail if it is not filled out or conveyed to me properly, esp if it is to be sent to the giver. BTW- I found where to edit and can add messages, too.

    I use a form that Guest Services fills out for Gift memberships. It's very helpful for me to edit the file and be certain I have all the appropriate information. I do save the forms in case there are questions or concerns. I have attached the form we use, if anyone was interested.

    This is a very basic feature of gift membership sales in your system, so why do you not have a way to indicate where to send gifts in Daily Sales? In addition, the gift message information is also missing. Any field that is available in online web forms should also be available in the Daily and Advance Sales screens. If anything, the forms for staff should have MORE options than the ones online, not FEWER! Please fix this already, it's been many years since this was first posted!

    I would like this in Daily Sales process too! Currently in all 3 processes it asks who to send the renewal notice to (which is a non-important issue for my organization) but it doesn't ask where to send the membership. WHY NOT??? For my organization--and I would imagine most organizations--it is most important to find out where the gift membership goes. I've sent memberships to the recipient when it should have gone to the giver because the extra-after-the-transaction-step was forgotten. Guess what happens then. A super angry customer calls you and yells at you saying she will never buy a gift membership from your organization ever again because her gift was spoiled.

    This is currently possible in Altru, but for back office gifts, you just have to edit this information after the transaction is saved. Instructions are here: https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/73107 

    It would be great to see these questions on the Add a membership form, but at least in the meantime you can track this without it being manual!
