Sales/Program Revenue Reporting - enhancement request

We have been live with Altru for almost one year and have struggled greatly with the lack of Revenue reporting options.  

Here are a few anecdotal examples of report requests that seem simple however no reporting methods exist in Altru.  
"What was the revenue for Planetarium shows last Saturday?"
"How much Outreach revenue did we do in December?"
"What was the revenue for the museum special exhibit for January?" 

There is currently no report in Altru to provide answers to the example report requests above.  All of the examples have one thing in common - Revenue for a specific program/event over a specific date/range.  

The only report in the system that has program/event date as a parameter is the "Program Revenue Report."  This report is great in concept and layout however it does not provide the data that the report name implies.  The report is incomplete and inaccurate due to the fact that it excludes Group Sales.  I do not understand the logic behind excluding a certain mode of sale from a Revenue report.      

In addition to the Program Revenue Report, Altru has a number of Sales Reports that group and sort data in various different ways.  You can select a specific program as a parameter to run the Sales Reports but you cannot select a specific program date.  All of the sales reports are designed to use sales date and do not have the ability to run them by program/event date.  

Other than using queries there is currently no method in Altru to get a report of Program Revenue or Sales by Program for a program that occurred in a certain time period.  Getting this data from queries has been challenging to say the least.   

I would like to request enhancements that would provide the capability to report revenue by Program.  

• Add an option to the Program Revenue Report to include Group Sales
• Add program date parameters to all of the Sales reports so that these reports could be run by Sales date OR Program date
  • Sales by Price Type, Sales by Payment Method, Sales by Membership
