Change how reports export to Excel and CSV

Our finance department ran the Price Type Report and exported it to Excel, but all of the data came out formatted as Text instead of numbers. It also exported with a bunch of aesthetic formatting, which looks really nice, I have to admit.

Not satisfied with the results of exporting to Excel, he tried exporting it as a CSV instead, and the resulting file contained all of the formatting data that went into the Excel version!! The result is a file full of fields that are useless, especially where CSV is most often used (in mail merges or otherwise feeding data into other applications). It makes absolutely no sense to export formatting data like that into a CSV. The resulting file is worthless.

Please fix this so that when exporting reports as .csv files, only the pertinent data is exported.

Merged cells make the export of excel files effectively useless since the data cannot be manipulated. Without this capacity, the excel files may as well be exported as pdfs.

Also, when exporting the merchandise reports to excel you get a spreadsheet full of merged cells.  You have to unmerge all those cells before you can effectively work with the data in excel.
