We have a 45-day-long holiday event that we would like to sell as a daily admission program. Daily admission tickets are valid to scan any time, any day... but if we could specify a date range when these "special" daily admission programs are valid for entry, that would greatly help us.
We cannot accomplish what we truly want to accomplish with special programs, because events that live under the special program can only be single-day. We would have to enter 45 different single-day programs for this Christmas event, which then requires the webform user to pick which day they want to use their ticket. At the moment, we do not want to limit purchasers to the single day they chose. We want an open ended ticket.
It seems like other gardens, museums, attractions, etc. might also have a use for extended-length programs that will work the same way as this.
I agree it would be extremely helpful to be able to "turn off" and "turn on" dates when a daily admission program is valid. Currently, anyone is able to buy a general admission ticket and use it on a special event day, even when a special event requires a specialty, higher-priced tickets. There is no way for us to stop people from doing this, because general admission tickets always scan no matter the day and time. It would be very helpful to be able to stop that from happening.
