When you run the Merchandise Activity Report it includes inactive items. This report is completely useless for evaluating current and future inventory needs because it includes hundreds of discontinued items. You have no way of knowing which of these items are still available, and which are not. Using the "Only show items with activity" checkbox does not help, because it still includes items that are now inactive, and it excludes active items that you need to include in your analysis. Both the Inventory Report and Physical Count Worksheet have a "Include Inactive" checkbox. Adding this checkbox to the Merchandise Activity Report would solve this problem and greatly improve our ability to analyze our inventory needs.
Also, since there is not a purchase order feature in Altru, adding the cost of the items to this report would help in writing purchase orders. Currently the process we go through to write an order is very frustrating. (You can read about it here: https://community.blackbaud.com/forums/viewtopic/409/31220.) Excluding inactive items and adding the cost of the items to this report would make writing purchase orders so much easier.
