When entering donations using finder numbers from an appeal into an Enhanced Revenue Batch New...
- If you specify a default designation when creating the appeal, your batch will produce an error saying to enter a designation -- even though one is there.
- If you specify a designation when creating the appeal but it's not flagged as the default, you won't get an error. (Note: It looks like this gives you a drop-down of designations to choose from in your batch.)
- If you don't specify a designation at all when creating the appeal, you won't get an error. (You also don't get the drop-down.)
So it looks like the solution is to not check off the "Default designation" box for the appeal. But it doesn't matter whether or not you actually specify a designation -- except maybe in terms of ease of data entry.
It would be great if this could be fixed.
