When a front line staff person makes a mistake, a supervisor should have the ability to make adjustments to the record. For example, a sales associate renewed a membership at the front desk, thought the term extension was not applied, so renewed it again. She was able to "refund" the money portion of the transaction, but the membership remained renewed 2 times. after chatting with support, the only way there was for me to fix it was to adjust the expiration date, but i wanted to be able to delete the duplicate transaction and have altru adjust the expiration date automatically.
Similarly, if a constituent creates a duplicate record through an online transaction and we merge the duplicates, we are not able to delete the duplicate address from the record, which we often want to do because it is not in the proper case or style we use for data consistency (spelling out street abbreviations, for example).
