Gift membership should give full benefit amount to giver since they do not get any of the benefits
When a membership is entered as a gift, the giver should get full tax benefit (not less the value of the benefits) since they are not getting any of the membership perks.
I probably should have worded that to say the tax deductible amount should default to the full amount of the gift since the giver does not get any of the benefits. We are having to manually change it now for all back office gift memberships and are probably overlooking all of the online gift memberships, which means many tax receipts are going out showing only a partial amount is deductible. If it defaulted, we wouldn't have to create a step to check this.
