Altru Ideas

We value your unique insight into our products and services and often receive ideas and feedback from our community in a variety of ways. To streamline this process, we’ve created an idea bank where you can post product suggestions, vote for those most important to you, and add comments to existing ideas.

Make Webform for Sustainable Membership Sales Online Available

Now that Sustainable/Reoccurring membership programs are now available in Altru, and our staff has created a Sustainable membership program in Altru, it would be very helpful to be able to make this program available to our members and community through our website for online sales.  Another reason for this suggestion is our I.T. security policies prevent staff from entering in credit card information on museum computers.  This policy is becoming more wide spread to prevent liability of stolen information.  Therefore, having the customer enter their payment information online (and on their own computer) is becoming more of a necessity rather than an payment option.  Until Altru makes webforms available for sustainable memberships, we will need to figure out a work-around or simply not be able to use this feature.  Therefore, we are losing out on significant revenue until this feature is able to be used online.

We haven't researched this feature enough yet to have noticed this wasn't available. I also thought it should appear as an option - a checkbox that people could select when signing up or renewing online. Is that not the case?

We were told that this type of membership sales option would be available when we visited the Altru Booth at the American Alliance of Museums Annual Meeting in Phoenix last May and I do not understand how or why Altru has not provided the appropriate web forms.  We are paying for promised services that are not being provided.  We need a solution now.
