Export definitions should be flexible so that if we want to only show Active or Grace membership data, or only show cancelled, or lapsed membership data, we can specify that in an export definition. Yes, the query can identify those who have a membership status=active, or cancelled, but those constituents may also have additional (old data) memberships in the same program and we may only want to see data from one. Despite that, currently we can't drill down to select output for specific membership status's in specific membership programs. If we could, we'd save time sorting through data, and cleaning it to eliminate the unwanted membership data. For example, in an export I want to see "membership program data=General Member whose status=Active, or Grace". This means that I don't want to see membership data for cancelled, expired, lapsed, or pending memberships.
Also, if a record has more than one membership in the same program, the system will randomly select data from one of the memberships when a report needs to show data specifically from only one.

It would also be helpful if we could filter by membership expiration date in constituent exports, this way if we are pulling a list of lapsed or expired members who might have 2 or more membership programs on their record we can have the system only pull out the membership information attached to the most recently expired membership on their record.
