We need to be able to map online ticket sales to a deferred (unearned) revenue account. We also need a mechanism for triggering the revenue to move from unearned to earned, similar to the Group Sales check in process.
An example:
Patron purchases a ticket a month in advance. While the cash is received, the revenue remains unearned until the service is provided. The ticket is a liability until the day the program event occurs.
Revenue for online sales should be able to work like group sales. Until the patron arrives, we should have the option to configure it to map to an unearned revenue account. Once the event date arrives or the patron's ticket is scanned, the revenue should move from unearned to earned.
