When a new patron makes an order, a new constituent is created. When an event registrant is a child, that child's constituent record is not connected to a household and this creates havoc with our mailing list. In order to prevent this, we manually add children to their parent's household manually, creating a constituent record for their parent or guardian. This takes a LONG time and is both boring and difficult. I propose allowing a feature that would ask if the host and registrant are a part of the same household during the online sales order creation process and create a household record with both host and registrant in it.
I love this idea! I have been going into each registrant to see if they are already a member of the household, then adding them if they aren't. Might also be nice if they are NOT part of the household (like when Grandparents enroll them) to obtain the other address as well.
