Countdown Clock for Tickets in Cart (logged in and anonymous)

Intro

We need a countdown timer for tickets that are in the cart that expires and releases the tickets back to inventory when the timer expires. This is industry standard practice.

Details

  • We would need to be able to toggle this feature off per program.

  • The timer should be adjustable.

  • The messaging should be adjustable

  • The CSS should allow for customization

  • The browser session should redirect back to a designated page once the timer expires.

  • This needs to work for all patrons; logged in or not.

  • This should not apply to donations or memberships

Background

In 2020, with the pandemic, some localities have strict mandates on capacity. We are struggling to keep our ticket quantities accurate. When you have limited capacity and timeslots, patrons who start and abandon carts are causing our program events to sell out before they are truly sold out.
