Altru needs a feature that already exists in Raiser's Edge, called Consolidated Receipts. It's a checkbox on the constituent record which excludes them from receiving acknowledgement letters. This is very helpful for donors with recurring donations who only want to receive a donation summary at the end of the calendar year. At the end of the year, you can run a query of those constituents and create their summary acknowledgements.
