When merging two constituent records that the “merge from” record had a full middle name and the “merge to” record had only a middle initial. After the merge (in database view), the middle initial had not been overwritten with the full middle name. All data needs to be carried over in a duplicate merge, or else the system needs to prompt the user to make a decision about that data so it isn't lost.
