Exploring options for volunteer management, I was excited to find that Altru has a function for this. I love that you can create a list of volunteers, match them with attributes and abilities, and create jobs. However, I lost my excitement when I saw that there is not a way for my volunteers to view available jobs and sign up at will. I need a platform where they are able to see all the jobs that need to be filled and sign up as they are available to do so.
I think that the easiest solution would be to have a webform on our website, that would feed directly into our Altru database as volunteers sign up for tasks. Similar to the way we have webforms for ticket sales. I have seen others on this site suggesting similar solutions, so it seems that this is a common problem.

We have had to get a second software program for volunteers which will enable them to do that, as well as log their own hours online.
