We receive matching gifts for memberships or donations that come in online. We can't apply the matching gift to the revenue record when the revenue comes in as a sales order. The matching gift won't be linked to the revenue that prompted it.

This is a great idea! We haven't run into this situation yet, but as more and more gifts are made online, it is bound to happen. This ties in very nicely with the Idea to be able link online donations to their appeals!
