Please require Altru users to turn on multi factor authentication. Or allow administrators to required it globally. Or at a minimum, allow administrators to see if users have it turned on. Thank you.
Thank you for clarifying, Campbell. I believe Salesforce is requiring MFA for admin users beginning today so Altru moving in that direction for the same type of access makes sense.
Thank you for posting this comment Bill. My comment above was specifically referring to Altru user logins, not Patrons using web forms. Although MFA for Patrons will be available as of Altru version 5.26, Blackbaud will not require organizations to utilize the feature.
I hope this is referring to admin user logins and not Web Forms user accounts. As we've seen from the backlash to the proposed password expiration requirement in Altru 5.26, anything that makes the sign-in process more complicated for Altru clients' customers is not going to be well-received by Altru client orgs given that all that is being safeguarded is our customers' ability to sign up for member-only events.
For Altru admin user logins, MFA is a great idea and I wholeheartedly support it.
Thank you for posting this idea. Our teams are in the process of planning this work, so while I do not have a timeline to share at this point, please know that it is a priority for Blackbaud to ensure all Altru users are required to log in with MFA.
