Over time, and due to staff changes, merchandise departments and categories often change. Once items are moved to a new department and it is empty and made inactive it will continue to appear in the Merchandise search dropdown in perpetuity. These departments are not visible within the Sales merchandise search dropdown menu so why are they still present anywhere else? I have seen a FAQ stating that this was not worthy of the time to fix but it already happens elsewhere in the system so the inconsistency is frustrating. Can we please have it consistent?!?!
