For our group sales that include admission, we are required to charge sales tax on the admission portion of the reservation but not the rental space or non-taxable items. Altru only allows a flat rate tax on the entire amount, so Blackbaud told us to set up our group sales pricing to include the tax in the price. Now we're being advised that tax should be itemized separately on the receipts. We need a way to customize the sales tax on group sales. (Similar issue with discounts not reducing the built-in tax amount - we've just been losing money on this since there's no workaround in Altru.)

I asked support about this and they sent me a generic article on flat rate sales. So I wanted to clarify this is not related to flat-rate pricing -- we were told to build our partial sales tax into our ticket pricing for birthday parties and group events. For example a $350 birthday party program event ticket price needs $10.50 for the admission portion sales tax, we set up the price as $360.50. We need to revise our pricing so that it shows the $10.50 as a separate tax item on receipt.
