Altru Ideas

Altru currently has two options for barcodes, 1"x 2" and 1"x2 5/8". These are too large for merchandising on most products. Smaller Barcodes would allow Altru's users the ability to utilize this function efficiently, expeditiously, and in conjunction with other tools and materials. The issue, I imagine, is Altru generates codes for each item that are obese. If the system produced item Id codes that were 4 or 5 characters long, the barcode font would subsequently be shortened in length. While this is one aspect, I propose the overall formatting of the produced barcodes be derived from common label sizes as small as 1/2'' x 1/2''. Additionally, having the option to choose what is added with or around the barcode, such as the name, price, and SKU in order meet the printing parameters.
