Hey Community - As you may have noticed, we've begun to add a few new system roles with each release. Stemming from the
idea to customize roles, we've decided to create more specialized roles gradually.
So here is what we need from you - suggestions. We realize that there are many roles you'd like, so please REPLY below with specific details about the roles you need. Be specific. You could suggest a role that only had certain rights or a role that restricted certain rights (like our restricted revenue role). We'd like to keep all the role suggestions in this post for now.

Would like a VIEW ONLY role please. One where someone can view all the database (except WEB and USER ADMIN), we have staff that we would like to give access to the system but we don't want them changing anything!!... they just need to look at the information the system contains, run reports, run queries and drill down to transaction level!
Another comment about the Calendar View Only user role: When hovering over an item, this role should be able to see the important information about both program events and group sales. Right now, the information that shows up is different between the two. I would like to see the hover box show the following for all calendar items: Location, notes (not even an option for program events so we use the description for this), and number of visitors or capacity. This role cannot currently see Important Notes in group sales, which is a big problem for us. On the flip side, this role should not be able to see revenue information for group sales such as how much a wedding cost. The List view should show the items I listed above in columns and should be printable. That way, I can print a version for our volunteers to look at without having to have an Altru account open. This user role is so close to being useful, but it does need some work before we can really use it.
We want the Calendar View Only users to be able to click on and view Events and Programs the same way as you can Reservations. Our maintenance, security, gatehouse, and set-up crew all need to be able to open an event or program from the calendar and see the resources, location, notes, staffing resources, etc. We do not want them to be able to edit these things, however (we are talking about 50+ employees here...). This needs to also be printable. There is no current way to create a schedule for the week that includes everything on the calendar and all of the corresponding resources and notes.
Is there a possibility to limit a role(s) so they canNOT delete constituents, or dissolve households. Since there are many roles that have the ability to change/update records, it would help if these could be removed in some roles, like development data entry.
