We have donors, members and volunteers. A constituent could be all three. It has happened that a donor or member, who is also a volunteer, can no longer work for the organization. Yet they still want to support us or maintain their membership. It would be nice to be able to flag that person in the volunteer module as "Inactive" so they would no longer be included as an "active" volunteer when reports are pulled. I suggest a box to check next to the word "Inactive" on the General tab and then a drop down near it to list the possible reasons to select from:

Discharged

Leave (We have had folks out for surgery and they returned when recovered.)

Resigned

If a volunteer returns to duty, you simply uncheck the "Inactive" box, and they begin appearing on reports again.
