Create an easier way to configure the layout of the Daily Sales page

I love how you can customize the buttons on the Daily Sales page, but I struggle a little bit when trying to get the buttons in a desirable order.

For example, if I want to put all my "Admission" buttons in the first row, I have to know by counting the button order from left to right and make the first button number 1 in the order and the next button number 4. This gets a little confusing and takes a lot of extra time jumping back and forth between the configuration and Daily Sales screen to make sure I got it right.

It'd be much easier if that screen was an actual layout of the Daily Sales page and simulated how the buttons would look right on that page.

Please implement this, it would save me a little bit of time when reordering things, thanks!

Wow, there are a lot of spam comments on this thread. But a more dynamic means of customizing the Daily Sales page would be a huge improvement to the system.

As many of the non-spam commenters have added, it's a real hassle to have to click the up or down arrows over and over and over before a new button reaches its desired location, and it's even worse when you need to add an entire set of them.

While the interactive-layout tool described by the original poster would be lovely, there are also some really simple changes that could be made to improve the current "Set Button Order" option and/or the Configure Daily Sales page in general.

Instead of forcing users to reposition buttons one click per line:

    • Allow users to click and drag an item into position when using the 'Set Button Order' tool.

      • If you need an example, this is a feature of Spotify's playlist-edit options.

    • Allow users to save active-list-positions for deactivated buttons

      • I'm sure everyone has at least one or two tickets they only sell under special circumstances. On certain dates at our museum - usually a saturday or sunday - our usual general admission options are superseded by a set of "pay as you wish" price types/tickets. When in use, the respective buttons for those tickets need to appear at the top of the first 'page' of button options, and they must be deactivated when unavailable in order to prevent potential errors and/or abuse. Unfortunately this means that every time one we reach one of those special dates, all four buttons must be repositioned, one click at a time, from the bottom of the list...and then deactivated at the end of that day, by someone whose System Role allows them to actually make those changes.

    • Add dynamic renumbering support.

      • At present, new buttons are always added to the end of the list - the last position number is equal to your total number of buttons. The position number also appears at the far right end of the line for each button.

        • Clicking an individual button-line's "edit" option should include an editable field for its associated position number. When a new number is entered, the page should refresh and renumerate the buttons to reflect the change.

        • For example, if I designate my new button to be in position #5, then all buttons from the "original" #5 onward should automatically update to take up the next sequential position.

OMG, please make the Configure Daily Sales page sorting easier. We want to move items down on the list and we have to go one by one (can't select multiple lines and move them up/down). Also, allow sort under Scheduled Programs. This is basic stuff!

Drag and drop tools for this, please please please! I'd also love more customization options for what time buttons appear. I know this is controlled at the program level, but on the occasion that we have a special program event on a different day and time than usual, it's tough to manage.

Being able to have blank  spaces would be great- or customize color.

Even better would be a custom daily sale page by login/role, but that my be a long way off. We have two different areas that need two different sets of buttons, but for anyone to have anything, they must all be present all the time. More customization would cut down a lot on simple user error.

Yes, please just make the edit page look like the Daily Sales page layout with drag and drop!
