This would help a lot. I don't understand why ticket numbers are not generated until a patron clicks the link in the email.
I voted on this idea ages ago and was revisiting it as it has always been needed, but now it's critical with so many virtual events due to COVID-19. People aren't clicking their eTickets and we're having to go into every order to generate their numbers to manually scan for attendance.
