Add a field for Manufacturer's Item Numbers for easier ordering in Merchandise
It would be great to have a field in Merchandise to put an Items Manufacturing Number to make ordering easier!
It would be great if this field was attached to Inventory Items so that we have the ordering number for each item (including those with dimensions) easily accessible.
Putting the Manufacturing number in the description field is a great for Merchandise Items but when the Merchandise Item has multiple dimensions it can get a little confusing, as each dimension usually has their own Manufacturing number.

Most POS Software will have one field for the Item Number and one field for the Description. The Item Number should be unique to the vendor. (However, because different vendors will use similar numbering systems it should not be required to be unique among all merchandise items). And all the Merchandise reports should display both the Item Number and the Description.
Because Altru does not offer these features we've had to adapt and enter the data from both of these fields into the one "Name" field.
