Reporting by Fiscal Year Parameters on Altru Canned Reports

I know that I have discussed this previously but I would like to bring my topic to the table one more time.

All of our reporting in Membership and Development is based on a fiscal year.

When trying to run reports for revenue generated during a fiscal year we are limited on which reports we can use in Altru. You might ask why don't you run your report from the start date to the end date of the fiscal year? This would work but it wouldn't include gifts that donors agree to give during a fiscal year but the receiving date is outside of the fiscal year. Example: We have a large fundraising event each year. A donor pays a large donation for dinner in a gallery. We allow our top donors to "verbally" pledge that they will pay but at a later date like a pseudo pledge. Sometimes these gifts come in right after the dinner has occurred during the current fiscal year. Sometimes if the event is close to the end of the FY, they might pay at the start of the next fiscal year. Our accountant is able to apply the second example back into the fiscal year that the event occurred. If we run the reports by date, we miss those delayed payments.

We have started using "Revenue Categories" to help in producing queries that would give us actual fiscal year reporting. If Revenue reports could also be run with the option of using Revenue Categories that would work also.

Please reconsider adding the ability to run all reporting with parameters that you are able to set for different fiscal years.
