Need to be able to schedule multi-day "program events"

We have a school program that rents trunks of artifacts out to schools for several weeks at a time. We'd love to use Altru to help us manage the trunk inventory, create sales orders with the rental start and end dates, etc. However, our rentals are usually a minimum of 2weeks, and sometimes last as long as 4, 5, or even 6 weeks. In trying to set this up in Altru, I've found that the limit on the length of a "program event" (in this case, a single instance of a rental) is 5 days.



Is there any chance that the programming might be changed in the future to allow for longer program events? Another example might be a single workshop that lasts a week or two but which you only want attendees to have to register for once.

    As we approach the 10 year anniversary of this request, is there any plan on implementing it before year 2100?

    What is the status of this idea? The request is nearly 3 years old, and it has been marked "planned" for a year and a half of that -- is there any timeline that we can rely on for implementation?

    What Maya said. It is common for brides to need a changing room, vendors sometimes need to reserve a kitchen or a room for staging catering. We opted for another room reservation solution, but would consider coming back if Blackbaud addressed these issues.

    Its finally coming!!!  I would second that it would be nice to be able to run it across multiple weeks.

    We'd love this ability as well. Rentals often hosts weddings that have reserved rooms until 1am or 2am. Because we cannot go past the day, this means we have to create two scheduled programs to accomplish this. We often sometimes host Girl Scout overnights at our Museum. They arrive at 6pm on Saturday and leave at 9am on Sunday. It would be nice to just have to schedule one scheduled event for this.
