In order to refine any searches, and to quickly have access to any information, it would be nice to be able to include one merchandise item under more than one category, or to be able to tag it with various labels. Let's say you have a book store, and you are selling a history book that is in spanish. You could create the Book department, or Media department, and create the category of spanish books and historical books, and add that one item to both categories without it throwing off your inventory.
