would like more common functionalities between special events and ticketed programs

It would be helpful if special events and ticketed events were one entity that could be customized based on the requirements of the specific program. Event planning is not so cut and dry, and it can be frustrating to work with the limitations of one verses the other.

If not merged into one entity, some functions that need to be improved:

"schedule event detail" is time consuming: It would be helpful if the ticketed individuals could be shown similarly to registrants in the special programs. There could be a tab that has a running list of ticketed individuals.

Currently, "scheduled event detail" is a shortcut on the left pane that takes 2 more clicks than necessary and a long wait. I just tested one of my events, and it took 17 seconds to pull 2 names. This is a huge hassle in some instances-- This particular program has 4 timeslots, each with 3 available tickets. In order to see if the program is full, I have to open the respective event time, click on the shortcut, click on run report, and wait 15-20 seconds for names to show. Then repeat.

Event Capacity: It would be helpful if available capacity was shown, like in the special event section.
