Making my annual pilgrimage to this thread. It's Saturday night and I'm checking my work email because I can't let the one particular ticket type get oversold. Please please please please please please please please please implement this feature.
Please! This seems to be a common problem. I have had to use other platforms to accommodate some of our events that had an optional workshop add-on WITH A CAPACITY! Altru costs too much not to have this functionality.
Jumping into the conversation here. Not being able to limit the tickets per price type is a huge challenge for us with our most popular program and creates a ton of extra administrative work. Is there any way this will be changed soon?
Checking up on this. Is there a possibility for this to be implemented in the near future? This is an amazing capability and we've been needing this functionality in a while.
Can someone at BB at least explain WHY this still hasn't been implemented? Can you please answer in a comment? I've been using Altru for years and this is one of the biggest problems I have. Thank you!
Agree, this should be implemented. Having to create a separate program events to cap individual price types is clunky.
Please for the love of all that is right with a sales system, fix this issue. I have been with Altru since 2015 and this has always been an issue. This thread started in 2016, 9 years ago!! I think 287 people wanting to see this fixed is plenty. Most other sales systems let you limit ticket sales on price type so that you can effectively manage your attendees. This should have been implemented at the start of the system. PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS!!
One of the reasons we want this is for programs that have different seating options, premium and GA. We have a different capacity for both. Having two different programs was the solution in the knowledgebase, but that is creating twice the work for us and is confusing for patrons.
Adding to the plethora of voices and votes- this absolutely should be an option.
Adding my frustration that this is STILL not a thing. I've been using Altru for 10 years at various organizations, and it is easily one of the biggest problems I have with it. And would be extremely helpful for many applications.
I know it's been 8 years since this idea was posted, but I would still love to see it implemented. We have an annual event with table and individual seat options. I have to do separate tracking in a spreadsheet to make sure we keep the online sales at the right capacity. This is a very basic functionality that Eventbrite and other free platforms offer, so why not Altru?
This seems like it would be a simple addition that would help a lot of Altru/BB customers. Please add it.
This seems like a pretty easy and common function that could be integrated into Altru. Would be of great benefit. :)
Frankly, this makes using the Webform functionality almost useless for my team as we have low inventory of certain types of tickets so they want to use a 3rd party product and am getting pushback from some users that we should move to a different platform altogether.
It's a little frustrating to see that this basic and heavily in-demand functionality has been up so long and isn't planned.
This has major revenue implications when so many events have tiered pricing structures. Closing general admission sales helps drive higher price point options.
YES! Please!
This is a necessity, period. Our organization relies on this functionality in Eventbrite very heavily and our ability to bring all programs into Altru is hindered by this issue.

Going on six years. Setting a capacity for the type is necessary for many events.
It's a shame to this functionality still not available. We also need to limit the capacity by ticket type for many of our programs for the same reasons listed in the comments.
