Email Analytics Needed

After switching over from Mail Chimp, I just found out that analytics (click through rate etc.) are not available for email communications sent through Altru. This is a very basic need and I really hope it will be available in the next release.

The stats provided by email analytics demonstrate how your audience interacts with the promotional emails you send them. Basically I provide social media marketing services in web development solution. Thanks.

I recently attended an informational webinar about Altru-Email integration being offered for a fee through an outside company and if you're interested in knowing more here is the link: https://omaticsoftware.com/altru-eap.

At the very least, for those who can pay more (not us) there is a solution. I'm not feeling optimistic that Blackbaud will invest to improve Altru in this are now that there are alternatives like this.

It's disappointing that this is still not an available feature. I agree with each of you here and am really at a loss about what to do. I think I'm willing to go through the hassle of exporting/importing so I can have metrics and send more dynamic emails to our constituents.

I heard from Altru people that we should look at the email marketing list as a kind of incubator for people we don't have much of a relationship with--then when/if we build more of a relationship with them they get turned into constituents in Altru. What a backwards way of looking at things! Yes, there are people on our email list I know nothing about. But there are also donors whose clicking behavior I am very interested in so we can customize our communications. So important to have email analytics!

I was SHOCKED to find out the limited capabilities in the Altru Marketing.. very very disappointing to purchase this new system and then be told well many of our customers use MailChimp.   This is a huge marketing design flaw!!

Actually, it is would be trivial for Altru to add tracking analytics to their existing email system. Let's push them in that direction.

Importing and exporting email lists between two systems is always a recipe for disaster. When we sell in person or over the phone we update email addresses in Altru. When people register on-line, the email addresses go into Altru. When they buy tickets to an event, or renew their membership, it all goes into Altru. If someone unsubscribes, we know about it in Altru. If we want to send someone a reminder email about this year's version of an event they bought last year, it is right there in Altru, available for the asking. Altru, you are so close to being great in this area that it is painful to watch your hesitancy to finish the job.

All Altru needs to do is provide us the ability to add a unique key to each email, and we can easily use Google analytics to not only track opens, not just track clicks, but also track revenue from the emails all the way through the Altru payment page. Please DON'T give us a half-baked integration to a third party email system. Just complete the 85% of a really great concept that you started with fully embedded email functionality.

Yes - integrate with an outside provider like what Sales Force offers.

I agree. The email function is subpar compare to free services such as mail chimp.  Please integrate outside email services.

I don't think we should have to integrate outside email services. It should be a part of this package. It handles eblasts to constituents so why doesn't it give you the click through rates, etc. To me it is frustrating to have to go to another email service, upload your constituent list and email from there. At the very least Blackbaud should partner with an email service to make it very simple for its customers. This is a huge marketing flaw.

Please just integrate to outside email services! Save everyone so many headaches.
