Collect Tribute Gift Information on Web Forms
The Garden received a nice number of online donations using the Altru interface. Yay! The problem comes in finding the comments that donors post with their gift. I have to pull a query and check each record under documentation for comments. It would be much nicer if the comment appeared automatically on the gift record screen. It would also be nice if Altru donations could be improved to handle tribute gifts, prompting folks for optional in honor of or in memory of gifts and acknowledgement directions.

With many more donations coming in online due to the pandemic, it would be most helpful and more efficient if there was a way to connect online notes with tribute gifts. This has been one of the most challenging for our staff, we have to double enter the online note to the tribute and add references in batch entry to ensure we don't miss anything.

This functionality exists in NetCommunity (another Blackbaud product) and when moving to Altru, it has consistently been something that donors mention missing from our old system. Most of our tribute gifts came in online and we cannot now offer that service. It's really a shame that this is not being considered because it is functionality that you are able to provide in your other products (and it's a product that I assume many of your clients, like us, have moved from).
