This isn't necessarily a ticket sales issue, but we run into a similar situation when organizations purchase corporate memberships online. It automatically creates an individual record instead of allowing corporations to create an organization type record. When an organization renews their membership online and there is a shift in contact information, a brand new record is created. That record cannot be merge with their original because they are two different types. There are a variety of work arounds that I use (transferring membership/order numbers to a blank record then merging, or linking the two records through relationships) but allowing multiple types of records to be created from web forms and alternate fields for organizations would be beneficial.

It is ridiculous that software made for non-profits does not allow organizations to donate on-line. This is the 21st century!!
We also need this functionality for our corporate memberships! Currently it sounds like our only option is to have an online donation form for them to pay for their membership under an employee's name. Then we have to refund that donation to "Other" payment method and create a corporate membership using the "Other" payment method.
We needs this for donations and ticket purchases also.

The ability to accept organizational memberships online is vital to our membership program. Most of the businesses we work with want to pay by credit card and the staff time it will take to either implement a work around, or process in the back office is too much - we're a small organization and I am the membership department. Ideally we would create an organizational membership program in the back end that was pre-loaded with webforms capable of creating organizational constituents and relationships to individuals. Please reconsider this because this is absolutely lost revenue for smaller organizations. I'm happy to provide additional thoughts and feedback on this.
