Showing Volunteer Hours in Constituent Record

When volunteers come to the museum, I would like a simple way to track their hours that reflects in their constituent "Recent and Upcoming Activities." It should be as easy as when a member comes in with admission, not having to schedule them for a job. If their volunteer time sheet communicated with the constituent record, this would work.
