When adding a group sales reservation contact, their contact information overrides existing contact information in their constituent record. For example, if Lucille Ball has e-mail address
lball@vitameatavegamin.com linked to her primary business relationship to Vitameatavegamin, Inc, but we mark that e-mail address as the contact info under a reservation for the Red Hat Society, the e-mail address is automatically linked to her relationship to the Red Hat Society, overriding her existing relationship and contact info for Vitameatavegamin, Inc.
We are finding that the contact info for reservations and sales orders of all kinds in general is confusing, particularly when new contact information is added through online sales. Even if the information is an update, the old constituent information remains as the primary contact information. In addition, because there is no standard formatting or account management, multiple address records are created, making additional clutter.
It would be ideal if there were some form of account management for patrons ordering online and a built-in review process on our end so that we can maintain data integrity.
