Add Giving Detail Filter on Designations to Reports

I would like to see a report, like the Total Revenue Report, but that you can filter by designations and a selection of designations. It never fails, 5 mins before a meeting, someone needs a total number of where we are in a campaign - as well as which are pledges and which are payments. This should also be a number that is quickly on hand for the Director, who doesn't have the time to fumble around in query and add number from multiple reports. I like the two columns that you can get from Smart Query - Total Given and Total Paid - that would be easy to sum in excel, however that only works for one designations and often campaigns have multiple designations for giving intentions.
