CNAME record for webforms

Right now, webforms are only available on the blackbaud hosted webpage. And the page can be designed to be identical to the organization's main website, but the URL is ugly and provides a discontinuous user experience. (https://XXXX.blackbaudhosting.com/XXXX/event-name)

But what if blackbaud could host the page, and the URL could be custom. So I've tested setting up a CNAME record on my website's DNS Zone. And it works. The only obstacle to this being a good solution is the security certificate. Blackbaud's https certificate won't match the CNAME domain that the user is browsing.

I'm still developing our webforms, and here at Bok Tower Gardens, we should be live selling through Altru within 6 months, but here's a look at our registration page

Same page, and everything works. But the web browser throws a security alert on our domain because of the certificate.

I know other services Blackbaud offers some customizable CNAME services with Blackbaud Sphere and NetCommunity. If we could request a new/additional CA cert to support our desired domain, that would be extremely helpful and attractive.

Did you ever get anywhere with this?

Altru could even allow its customers to upload our own CA cert file that specifies the domain our customers will be using. So Blackbaud doesn't have to register all those certs, we would purchase our own.
