When adding a gift via an Enhanced Revenue Batch or when through sales order, users can apply the gifts to outstanding commitments. From the apply to commitments screen, users can also add an additional donation, and use it to split the gift. However, when adding two donations that go to the same Designation, but different Revenue Categories, the error is received: Error: Duplicate designations cannot be specified. The same error occurs when editing an existing gift and trying to change the designations.

With the addition of donors opting into covering Credit Card fees this would be helpful as there is the Category part of the designation section that can allow us to split out what is the donation from the donor paid fees
Patrons are able to add multiple gifts to the same designation, but we're not able to update the revenue category after the gift comes through. It's essential that this be fixed ASAP because GL mapping doesn't work without the revenue category and donors should be able to make multiple tribute gifts in the same transaction without having to enter their CC multiple times (e.g. $100 gift in honor of a sibling for Christmas, $100 gift in honor of spouse for Christmas... $200 transaction).
