Auto-fill fields on event registration web forms when user is logged in

When a user is logged in to our web forms and visits one of our event registration pages, it would be a big time saver if Altru could populate the Event Registrant fields with the information that is stored on that constituent's record by default (name, address, email, etc).

This is a much needed feature. Any updates on when/if this is going to be added?

Our Donors are finding this very frustrating especially since we are requiring them to sign in more and more for online transactions.

Auto-fill for web forms is a must for good patron service! Once they have established a profile through registration, there is no reason that they then need to fill out their identical profile information again. Very frustrating for our donors!

I just got this response from a support tech: "Yeah its for if the registrants are different." My response to that was "I'm sure other organizations can corroborate this, but the case in which the registrant, especially the primary registrant, is different from the member, is very rare." That of course is the opinion of our organization, but I'm pretty sure it's the case. I don't understand why Altru would be setup to support that very rare case, instead of making event registrations work like other webform contact info fields.

Agreed. It would also be amazing if they could update/manage their profile information as well (if they moved, etc.)

It would be great if webforms would auto-populate fields when a user signs in. We also receive many complaints about this from regular customers. They are used to logging in to e-commerce sites that save their information. I was told that Altru will not auto-populate on programs that require registration. Adding this functionality seems pretty simple and would make our customers very happy.

I am concerned that this is categorized as not planned.  This is a huge complaint from all of our customers and when the registration doesn't process correctly, we lose business because they don't want to be bothered about signing up yet again.  This seems like an incredibly easy fix and I would hope that this goes from not planned to being under consideration or, better yet, planned.

Kind of like Amazon's shipping/billing questions. You can save the contact information with or without a nickname for an easy drop-down selection later.

Altru webforms already have that drop-down selection process available, but it only works with a single cart. Add 5 things to a cart, and the registrant information can be copied from one to another, but it doesn't save to the profile for separate transactions. That would be nice.

agreed 100%.  I get many complaints from customers who register their one child for 6 events and they have to fill in forms with the very same information 6 different times.  It's really a hassle for them.
