We value your unique insight into our products and services and often receive ideas and feedback from our community in a variety of ways. To streamline this process, we’ve created an idea bank where you can post product suggestions, vote for those most important to you, and add comments to existing ideas.
From what I can tell, if someone enters a new address, phone or email then it adds it to Altru, as well as the transaction data, but it doesn't make it the primary contact info. There could either be a checkbox that allowed them to save it as primary or, if not, then it should automatically save the new info as primary.
We have several people that are confused as to why it doesn't update when they enter the new information.
Ideally there would be a member portal for online purchases where people could see their transactions and update contact info. But this would still not encompass those that are not members but still make regular purchases or donations.
This has been such a headache for our organization. Even if it wasn't automatic, having a primary contact mass-update tool would be AMAZING. Something like the Constituent mass-duplicate-merge that can output an exception file.
