I am trying to delete a Fundraising Hierarchy Designation that currently has zero gifts in it. At some point, a payment was made in BATCH to this designation and I received this error message:
"This designation has been referenced by a batch and cannot be deleted. The designation can be marked as inactive."
Even though there are currently zero gifts in that designation, it is very frustrating that I can not delete this designation completely. I only have the capability to inactivate it.
My idea that I'd suggest is to let the customers delete designations that have zero gifts in them, even if they were used in BATCH in the past. It would clean up the database and make everything run more smoothly.

I would appreciate this feature as well. We have too many unused or no longer relevant fundraising designations that no longer have any gifts attached to them. Please let us delete them!!
